Never in the field of RTS units inspired by movies has one character been so totally and blatantly ‘homaged’ as the female Dropship pilot in Aliens, er, I mean Starcraft

Not only did Blizzard ripoff the xenomorphs and Bugs, they even had the cheek to create a proper, coherent explanation for how the different warrior breeds evolve, how Zerg bases adapt and grow, and give them a command structure too (although that in itself owes a lot to 40K’s Tyranids. Cue Kerrigan, making them ‘Basically the Tyranids crossed with Bugs crossed with xenomorphs, but led by a woman with tentacles)

It’s a quote from Aliens (The movie). The Pipe is a pipe and ‘Five by five’ is the best of 25 possible receptions when communicating.

I have this movie, I think I learned to read when I was a kid with this movie, Robocop and Jaws subtitles (I’m mexican).
I see this movie once a year, in december (Fox usually broadcast this on december’s break for some reason :p), and now I have the Speacil Ed. DVD
This movie is awesome for so many things. Todays movies use a lot of CGI, this looks so real. The ambient, the plot, the characters, the music, the dialogues, the camera angles.
Today movies looks so fake…
(Alien1979) Ridley Scott + John Hurt + and a score by Jerry Goldsmith performed by the National Philharmonic Orchestra = the most horrific film made. The best film made. I still have Nightmares about being on the Nostromo. You can not copy this movie or chop it up (but they try). It’s art. I’m a fan of the age where real movies were made. (the 26 thumbs down belong to Shia LaBeouf fans…may you live forever) P.S. you still have to see James Cameron’s Aliens AND John Carpenter’s the Thing.
